Perspectives with Alana McLaughlin — March 8, 2026
Corletra Mance is a general practitioner with 15 years of experience, focusing on probate law, personal injury, immigration, family law, and contract disputes.
Having grown up in Chattanooga, TN where she attended Baylor High School and graduated from Rhodes College (BA) and the University of Tennessee College of Law, she has deep ties to Tennessee and is passionate about serving the community.
A Lifelong Passion for Justice
Corletra has known that she wanted to be an attorney since the age of 5. While she initially wanted to focus on criminal defense, she gained other passions during law school, expanding her areas of focus. During law school, she spent two months studying abroad in Brazil, learning about their justice system and its parallels to the United States.
Community Involvement
Following law school, Corletra relocated to Nashville, where she began her independent practice. She's deeply involved in the Nashville community, serving as a member of the Nashville Bar Association, Lawyers Association For Women (L.A.W.), and Cable Nashville.
Her commitment to service extends beyond the courtroom. She is a Board member for the non-profit L.A.S. Therapy Network and Laughter Is The Best Medicine, as well as an active volunteer for The Find Design.
Private Practice
Prior to taking the bench, Judge Mance operated as a general practitioner within Tennessee Law Group, an association of attorneys. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling and spending time with her family.
